Waste / Recycling Collection Update for Tuesday October 29th:
*****UPDATE (November 1st) The Waste Management Company has provided the following update:
I wanted to update you on the areas that were completed yesterday:
– Kings Creek
– Cam’s Way
– Kidd Road (both east and west), but we’ll run this route again to ensure everyone is covered
– Derry Side Road and Ferguson/6th Line
– Brunton Side Road
– Windmill/Crescent
– Boundary Road between Beckwith and Ottawa
– Prospect area
– Landians Way
– Richmond Road is done, though some had brought it back inside, so I’ve asked for this road to be run again today since it has high traffic volume.
Roads Currently being done:
– Village of Franktown (Franktown Cemetery, Powell, Maitland, Irish, Hwy 15, etc.)
– Kidd Road
– Beckwith Boundary Road
– Graham Road
If your road is not listed and has not been collected please contact the Township Office and we will make sure to let the contractors know.

*****UPDATE (October 31) – The Waste Contractors are continually collecting. We made note of the roads mentioned and sent them to the contractors. Thank you for your patience as they catch-up.
UPDATE – The Waste Management Contractors have confirmed that they are still out collecting and will continue to collect past dark.
IMPORTANT: Waste Collection Update – October 29th, 2024
Please note that the Waste Management Contractors have informed us that due to unforeseen circumstances with one of the trucks today and that will not be able to complete the collection before dark.
They will work until dark (while it’s safe to collect) and then finish the remaining collection in the morning.

FINAL TAX BILL (3rd PAYMENT)
The Township of Beckwith would like to remind all property owners that the 3rd and final tax due date, the 2nd installment of the final tax bill is due this month. Final Installment Due – Monday, September 23rd, 2024.
Did you know that we offer a monthly payment plan, or installment/due date payment plan for your property taxes? There is no service fee for this plan. October is a great time to start the Payment Plan to begin collecting for 2025 taxes.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: CONTRACT SNOWPLOW OPERATOR FULL-TIME
Job Information:
The Township of Beckwith requires a contract snowplow operator – full-time. This position will commence November 15th, 2024 to April 15th, 2025.
Requirements:
• Due to the equipment used to fulfill this position, the candidate must possess a Class D Province of Ontario Driver’s License with a Z endorsement.
• Must be capable of operating a combination snowplow and spreader unit as required.
