WASTE COLLECTION UPDATE – February 19th, 2025

Tuesday Collection Update:
3:46 p.m. – Update from the Waste Management Contractors:
Clean-up of any Waste not collected this week will be collected on Thursday February 20th, 2025.
 
We are sorry for the inconvenience this has cause. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this matter.
 
The Township has been working with the Waste Contractors for a positive solution which will take effect April 7th, 2025. Please visit the Township website for details:

Waste Collection Update – February 11th, 2025

Due to unforeseen circumstance notice was received at 1:00 p.m. that the remaining collection scheduled for Tuesday Pick-up will take place on Friday February 14th, 2025.

We ask residents to bring their waste back in due to the weather statement for this week and place at the curbside Friday morning by 7am.

SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

Beckwith Township is seeking a student to fill the position of Summer Student – Administration.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a college or university student returning to school for the 2025-2026 academic year. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently within a team environment. Must possess the ability to maintain the confidentiality during and following employment with the Township of Beckwith. Must possess excellent computer skills including the ability to work with various Microsoft Office programs. Previous clerical experience is considered an asset.
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The date of opening is May to August, 2025 – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Beckwith Township Municipal Office.

January 10th, 2025 – SKATING TRAIL – OPEN (GREEN)

We are excited to announce that the Beckwith Skating Trail is now OPEN (Effective January 10th, 2025 – if there are any changes this will be updated)
 
Skating Trail – 1 km loop at Beckwith Park, 1319 9th Line Beckwith (behind the Beckwith Recreation Complex)
There are benches to put on your skates.
Skating Trail is conducive to outdoor conditions which vary. Please Skate to Trail Conditions.
 
Please note that the Trail is operating on a colouring code chart for maintenance. The colours will change throughout the season so please watch the Trail Sign at the entrance for the current colour code.
Green = Good Condition
Yellow = Proceed with Caution
Red = Trail Closed
 
Special thanks to all the staff that have been working hard to prepare the trail.
 
Grab your Skates and Helmet, we will see you on the trail.
