Beckwith Irish Minor Football is a developmental full-contact football league.
The league is open to players born between 2008 – 2016.
There are no territory restrictions; all players are welcome no matter their place of residence.

Beckwith Irish Minor Football is a developmental full contact football league. The league is open to boys and girls from Lanark County and surrounding areas who were born in 2016 or earlier. Teams are divided into divisions based on years of birth. The season runs from April to June, as part of the spring Rideau Youth Football League (RYFL). We will play a mix of Canadian/US tackle rules football in games against teams from Brockville, Smiths Falls, & Kemptville. We are committed to providing a fun, healthy environment based on mutual respect amongst players, and between players and coaches. The size of the field, the length of the game and the number of players on the field are adjusted for Tyke and Mosquito; PW and Bantam play on a full field with 12 on 12 players. The size of football used is adjusted for each level.
Season dates: The season is expected to start the first week of April (weather permitting) and to end by the end of June. Practices will be held 2 evenings a week; Mon. and Wed. for the younger kids in Tyke and Mosquito, and Tues and Thurs for Pee-Wee and Bantam. All practices will be held outdoors at Beckwith Park from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Games will be held in May and June on Fri, Sat or Sundays, with the possible occasional weekday evening game. Home games will be played at Beckwith Park, and the remainder of the games will be played at the opposing teams’ fields.
Registration & Costs: The registration fee, is $370.00. This fee includes $55.00 for the mandatory annual Football Canada, and Ontario Football Alliance fees and insurance. Registration covers the cost of all equipment, including a mouth guard. With the exception of socks and footwear all equipment is provided. Socks can be purchased from us at the equipment handout day, or you may provide your own. Soccer or football cleats are recommended footwear. Registration numbers will be limited so do not delay. Payment is due by the end of March.
Volunteers & Sponsors: Beckwith Irish Minor Football cannot survive without the help of volunteers and sponsors. Volunteers are needed as coaches, team managers, game day first aid/trainers, canteen workers, field down marker persons, and members of the executive or other skills or expertise that you may have. You will be contacted to volunteer. Many sponsorship opportunities exist.
