PROPERTY TAX BILLING
Property tax billing occurs twice per year. Interim billing is sent out in February with installment payment due at the end of March. Final billing is sent out in June with the first installment payments due at the end of July and and the second installment due date the end of September.
For permanent and seasonal dwellings, add $250.00 for waste management services including garbage and recycling pick-up, hazardous waste depot, large item pick-up, etc. The Waste Management charge is included in the Final Tax Billing as a Special Charge.
Tax accounts in arrears any part of two years are now subject to Tax Registration as a means of collection. Please contact the tax department to make payment arrangements.

SUPPLEMENTARY TAXES
A Supplementary tax bill may be issued where a property is not completely assessed at the time of preparation of assessment rolls or where a new building has reached completion or is occupied, or a property becomes taxable. It is in addition to the regular tax bill.
VACANT COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES
Tax rebate applications deadline for the year 2020 is February 28, 2021. If you own property eligible for a rebate, applications can be picked up at the Beckwith Township Municipal Office.

All properties in Ontario are required to support a school system. The default school board setting for every property in Ontario is the English public-school board. Residents can choose which school board they would like the municipal education portion of their property taxes to be sent to.
