In 2023 the Province made changes to recycling collection across the Province. Beckwith’s blue box recycling program is managed by Circular Materials – the administrator of the common collection system and a not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Ontario.

The Township of Beckwith would like to remind all property owners that the 3^rd and final tax due date, the 2nd installment of the final tax bill is due this month. Final Installment Due – Monday, September 23^rd, 2024.

Did you know that we offer a monthly payment plan, or installment/due date payment plan for your property taxes? There is no service fee for this plan. October is a great time to start the Payment Plan to begin collecting for 2025 taxes.

The Beckwith Volunteer Fire Department reminds all residents that an active 2024 burn permit is required for open air burning (anything other than a campfire) from April 1st to October 31^st.

Residents may obtain a FREE Burn Permit electronically by visiting https://beckwith.burnpermits.com/  Residents must go on line and create an account and then immediately call (833) 525-1333 to activate their account for the year.  Residents are required to obtain a single permit that is active for one calendar year.   If you require assistance, please contact the Township Office.

No Permits are required for Campfires. 

Permit holders must call to activate their Burn Permit before each burn activity.  Permit activation must be completed by calling the Burn Permit Line at (833) 525-1333 .

If you are having difficulty activating your permit, ensure your Permit is valid for 2024.  

Enforcement actions may be taken against anyone who burns in violation of the Rules and Regulations posted on the Township website.
